Creative Experiences at The Paint Patch
The Paint Patch is an immersive art and creativity studio at The Galleria, Hatfield. We offer a wide range of hands-on creative experiences for individuals, families, schools, corporate groups and private parties. Every session is designed to be accessible, energetic and — above all — seriously fun.
You don't need any artistic ability to enjoy what we do — our experiences are built around participation, not perfection. All materials and protective clothing are provided. Just show up ready to get creative. Below is everything we offer, with key details to help you pick the right activity.
Our Activities
Canvas Painting
Choose from a range of designs, pick your colours, and follow along with our friendly instructors to create a finished piece you can take home. Perfect for beginners and seasoned artists alike — all materials provided.
UV Room
Step into our UV room — one of our most popular experiences. Dressed in white overalls and armed with neon paint, splatter, spray and fling colour across the walls (and yourselves!) under UV lighting. High-energy and perfect for groups and parties.
Slime Making
Get hands-on in our slime-making lab. Mix, stretch, glitter and personalise your very own batch of non-toxic slime to take home in a tub. Incredibly popular with children but beloved by adults too — deeply satisfying and great fun.
Drip Bears
Design and customise your own resin drip bear using bold neon paints and pouring techniques. Each bear is unique — yours to keep as a vibrant one-of-a-kind ornament. Combines art, creativity and a little bit of science.
Splatter Sessions
Suit up in protective overalls, pick your paint colours and go wild against our dedicated splatter walls. The ultimate stress-busting, laugh-inducing experience — no skill needed, just enthusiasm. Perfect for hen parties, birthdays and team building.
Smash Room
Let off steam in our dedicated smash room! Suit up in full protective gear, grab a bat or hammer, and smash plates, glass and electronics to your heart's content in a safe, controlled environment. The ultimate stress-relief experience — brilliant for parties, team building or just blowing off steam. Please wear hard shoes and old clothes — smashables provided. Please note: this experience is strictly for adults aged 18 and over only.
T-Shirt Painting
Transform a plain white t-shirt into a wearable work of art. Using our vibrant fabric paints, stencils and splatter techniques, create a one-of-a-kind piece that's yours to wear and show off. A brilliant activity for all ages and a fantastic keepsake.
Tote Bag Painting
Customise a sturdy canvas tote bag with bold colours, stencils and your own design. Practical, personal and a brilliant everyday keepsake — no artistic experience needed and all materials provided.
Drip Bear Experience
Get ready to pour, drip and create your very own one-of-a-kind Drip Bear at The Paint Patch.
Choose your colours and transform your bear using our signature paint-pouring technique. No two bears ever turn out the same, so you'll leave with a completely unique piece of artwork created by you.

Want even more colour? Additional paint colours can be purchased as an optional extra when booking or added at the studio on the day.
Age Guidance
Our Drip Bear Experience is suitable for ages 5+.
Younger children may need a little help from an accompanying adult, particularly when pouring the paint slowly to create the drip effect. Our team will demonstrate the technique before you begin and will be available to help throughout the experience.
There's no right or wrong way to create your bear — every design is completely different.
What Happens to My Bear Afterwards?
Your creation won't be ready to take home immediately.
After your session, your Drip Bear will stay with us at The Paint Patch to dry completely. Once the paint has set, our team will apply a glossy finishing coat to give your bear its final polished look.
The full drying and finishing process usually takes approximately 5–7 days.
We'll contact you as soon as your bear is ready to collect, so please make sure the telephone number and email address provided when booking are correct. You can also give our team an alternative contact number before leaving the studio.
Collection & Delivery
Once your finished Drip Bear is ready, we'll contact you to arrange collection from the studio.
Can't make it back to collect? Delivery can be arranged for an additional charge. We'll carefully package your finished bear before sending it; however, we cannot accept responsibility for any loss or damage caused by the courier once your parcel is in transit.
What to Wear & Bring
- 👕 Wear old clothes. Things you don't mind getting paint on. We provide overalls but paint can still get through!
- 💍 Leave valuables at home. No jewellery, watches or expensive items. We can't be responsible for anything that gets paint on it.
- 🅿️ Parking (The Galleria, Hatfield): Paid parking is available at The Galleria shopping centre car park.
- 🤝 Be respectful. We ask all guests to be kind and considerate towards our staff and other customers. We reserve the right to ask anyone to leave who is not adhering to this.
